365 Grateful, Day 37

I am grateful for salt, specifically sodium chloride.  It it so common that we often don’t think of it much.  Yet it helps preserve many of our foods in addition to helping to season meals.  It is also a useful chemical for medicinal purposes.  Ingesting too little or too much can be hazardous depending on individual needs, yet it is not usually difficult to regulate that.  There’s a reason it’s a compliment to say that some people are the salt of the earth, they and it are necessary.
